I would point you right toward bush beans if you are cramped for space. Trust me, there is nothing easier than a bush bean
plant. It's hard to believe how many snap beans you can harvest from bush bean
plants shoe-horned into blank spots in the planters and garden. Being able to
plant about 9 per square foot makes shoe-horn the right word!
This past year I planted royal burgandy and they hardly ever made it into the house! The kids and I were eating them right off the vine like crunchy candy. Blue lake and contender are good green snap bush beans that I can recommend as well.
