Hello!
I am looking for some advice on how to "prune" butterfly weeds. I can find a lot of info on Butterfly Bushes...but not the weeds. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Peggie

If your talking about the flowers, they don't need to be pruned. I let them reseed and just cut off the dried stems. The seed heads float around and sometimes come up on their own. wink

I trim the dead stems off of mine.you need to search for wintering larva also. There is a white also that blooms early spring& they recomend not trimming it as it flowers on old wood. Its not a common one.

Hey Jack, if you go to the Garden Encyclopedia here in this site, it will tell you all about Butterfly weed. Latin name is Asclepias Tuberosa. There is a photo of it. I think it's the same one you're talking about...........Enjoy
