Some recipes calls for toasted nuts how to you do that?On top of the stove or in the oven?Do you add oil to them and how long does it take and if its in the oven what temperature?Thank you ladystressout!!

when i need to toast nuts, i put them on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan, and bake at 400 for about 10 minutes (or less) keeping a close eye on them. nuts have natural oil, so you don't need to add anything to them.

You can do it Jiffy's way but I usually put them in a dry skillet over med heat. It only takes a couple minutes. Stir them constantly and before too long they'll turn a golden colour and you can smell the natural oils coming out. That's when you know they're done. thumbup
