I went out and bought 2 azaleas last
spring and installed them ina new garden area of my yard. They were doing well, and after a month or so I fed them some azalea food. They were already in bloom from the store so the blooms faded relatively quickly and they have been doing some decent
growing since. Well, a couple days ago, being in the fall season, I fed them again, and no more than the directions on the food bag said. It didn't rain like I expected it to so I went out the next day to water them some so the food would be absorbed. Yesterday it rained some more, and I looked out there today and the leaves have very quickly turned yellowish. They were a nice healthy green before I fed and watered.
I hate to think that I just killed my
plant somehow and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or if turning colors was normal for this time of year. The other azalea, about 5 feet away, was fed and watered similarly and is doing fine (as of today, at least). I think I'm in around
zone 5b to 6a. Dayton, Ohio.
Thanks a bunch for any advice!
