I dug up my gladiola bulbs (not hardy here), and there are a bunch of 'baby bulbs' all over the main bulb. What to do with these? Break them off and plant them next spring with the big bulbs or leave them stuck to mama bulb?

either or. i'd pull them apart, but that's just me. if you leave them, only leave them one year. after the first year, they will "crowd" the momma and none will be truly healthy. the good news is that if you have babies, that means your mommas are healthy.

Congratulations on your babies. I left mine on the first year. This year they are getting separated. After the leaves die back of course. Mine are still green.
