I'm working on raking lots and lots of leaves to use for mulch this winter, good "browns" for compost next year, and general boredom-time-filler. My kids love playing in the leaves. I'm also, very half-heartedly, working on my wintersow stuff--mostly flowers but a few veggies. I don't want to get my wintersow stuff started and then have them all germinate before winter sets in!!

I will be busy weeding again tomorrow. I hope to get my iris back in the ground before the bulbs rot...

Here's what I am working with at the moment:

Tomatoes
Spinach
Snow peas (climbing like crazy)
Lettuce (lots of it!)
Mustard greens
Garlic
Bunching onions
Chives
Hot Chiles
Bell peppers (should start to wind down soon)
Baby bok choy
Kale
Chard
Basil (starting to wind down now)
Parsley
Cilantro
Mint
Oregano

Lot's of "cut and come again" action going on. smile

Erm, I just ordered some seeds, lol:

chives
scallions Ishikuro
orange thyme
Parmex carrots

Waiting on trades that hopefully will bring in
Tomatoes (Rutgers, brandywines red and pink, purple cherokee)
pepper Ruby King and Golden Queen mix
Thumbelina carrots
bronze fennel

Okay, so not all of them are veggies, but I'm such a newbie to food growing it counts to me.

perpl

Winter is just about to start (the real kind, not the SoCal kind laugh ), so just dreaming of where these will all go at this point. flw

Can anybody tell me when I will stop waking up with the urge to obtain more seeds?

I was thinking more along the lines of never lol. I have some veggies still out in the garden. They are a loose leaf lettuce. But I didn't care for the taste so I've just let them tend themselves. Inside are all tropicals and herbs. And they seem to be doing pretty well. I need to prune the oregano and thyme sometime soon but I'm not quite feeling up to it today.

Well I am sure that is not going to happen anytime soon.

I haven't even gotten my seed order figured out yet...I have worked out a garden layout plan for next season, But I seem to be moving pretty slow this winter so far, We have had way to nice of weather for this time of year, so haven't been bored enough to get with the planning part of things.
