Chicken Wing or Chicken Finger Sauce. (None of my recipes are an exact recipe.... I've eyeballed them all my life, so forgive me. I'll give you a general idea and you can experiment. Some may like it HOT <I DO> and some like it not so hot, so, it's all up to your taste???) Basically you need two ingredients for the basic sauce. SAUCE: Frank's Red Hot Sauce Butter CHICKEN WINGS OR CHICKEN FINGERS And BLUE CHEESE CELERY AND CARROTS STICKS on the side. (After that, It depends on how much you want to make and it's up to your tastes.) Usually a good rule of thumb is half and half. That'll get you a nice tasting sauce. Go from there for your temperature......... I put some worchestershire sauce fine black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, tabasco sauce. A. Sprinkle on top of chicken fingers or serve plain for fingers with sauce on the side. B. Put in a big bucket or something to shake wings up in it and put as much or as little as you want on... If you have any questions, I can try to answer them. Weezie

Weezie, here is the Carbonara recipe: 1 lb. good quality spaghetti 3 egg yolks plus 1 whole egg 1/2 cup grated parmeson cheese 6-8 slices bacon or pancetta, chopped 4 Tbl. Olive oil Salt and pepper to taste In your serving bowl, mix the eggs, cheese & a little salt & pepper.Cook the pasta. While the pasta is cooking, fry the bacon & 1 Tbl olive oil. Drain the pasta, reserving a little of the water in case you need to thin out your mixture. Immediately pour the pasta into the serving bowl, stirring until well mixed with the egg mixture.Add the bacon & the rest of the oil, blending well. Serve with additional cheese and salt & pepper if needed. This Must be served right away!!!!!!!!

Iowanovice, unfortunately I did not grow these this year but I have in the past. They are very easy to grow just like zuccini. If you pick them when they are smaller than your palm they are very tender with very small seeds. You can use them just like zuccini, too.

My mother used to make a dish for my father called believe it or not, "Slum~gullun" not sure exactly how to spell it.? They said it was some boyscout recipe they had and made up on camping trips...???.... But it was made two ways but both had with canned tomatoes. The first one was with hamburger, cook and brown it up in a fairly large skillet. Add the canned tomatoes, one full can of homemade ones my mother added. What's the largest size?? A large mouth jar????? And chop up the tomatoes, add a bit of pepper, salt if you like it.... It's a very basic meal. The second one started with bacon fried crisp in a pan, she liked alot, so a whole package. Then take out the bacon, reserve on a plate. Then do NOT remove the pan drippings, but just through in the canned tomatoes again, same size jar. *watch out for hot spatter* chop up tomatoes, add pepperAfter water from tomotoes is rendered down a bit, and ready to serve, add the bacon just before serving so it's reasonable crunchy still. Now, if you like a softer bacon, leave it in a bit longer and it'll soften. Both were served with bread and butter and a salad. Not much to it, and I suppose you could add what ever else you like....to taste. They were quite different. I liked the one with the bacon better, I personally am not a big meat eater........ but my father enjoyed it!! Weezie

Weezie, Slice about 3lbs. of bell peppers into about a 9+12in. pan.-----Add 1 lb. Italian sausage, sliced into about 11/2 in. slices.------Add 1 28 or 35 oz. can crushed tomatoes(unflavored).--------To that, add 1 clove minced garlic and about 1/8th to 1/4 teas. Oregano.-------Add about 3 Tbl. Olive Oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 375% for about an hour or until the peppers are done to your liking. I have entered more of my recipes in the Recipezaar web site, if you are interested. They have tons of recipes, everything you can think of.

Mom, That sounds different. I bet my father in law would love that!!! I'll have to show him that one!! Thanks for the recipe. I hope you'll add a few more of your recipes here. We'd like to get some ideas for dinner. Sometimes, you're just not sure what to have, and it's kinda nice to take a quick peak and say, hey, that sounds good!!! If you have anymore, add a few as the days go by. It's getting colder and I cook alot in the winter. I HATE to cook in the summer, anything that takes me OUT of the garden, I'm ugly!!! And I'm pretty sure others will appreciate them too!!!! Do you do alot of cooking? Or is that a silly question?? I do alot, but I'm so bad, it's all just thrown in, no measuring!!! It's so hard to reproduce my recipes!! Thanks!! Weezie

For Lunch we had.......... Home made little pizza's. You need; 1 can HUNTS tomato sauce mozzerella cheese Margerita pepperoni ground peppergarlic powder We get the already made pizza shells from our local grocery store called Tops here. (The little personal pan pizza size) I put 3 frozen pie shells to a cookie sheet. Take a lg tablespoon and put on about 3 tbsp. I spread it a bit, but not all the way down because then it seems to drip off too fast. I don't measure, (I'll have to work on that ) I put a good shaking of garlic powder and fine ground black pepper, but if you like the course one, or red or white add it, if you like it spicey, add it all!!!! sprinkle the cheese over the top, as much or as little as you like. Put pepperoni on top, same as above for cheese. You can sprinkle oregano or what ever you like on your pizza's.... Bake for 375 for 15/20 minutes. Weezie

They sound perfect for kids weezie!!! We cheated tonight and ordered out to our local sub shop....the nights we order out are what my husband likes to call his cooking nights....LOL That's his way of cooking-- picking up the phone...Wish he would cook more often....LOL Just to his defense though, he can cook....he makes a wonderful beef stew, and he is the breakfast man....plus he can make a lot of other things....when I get sick or get a migraine he brings me dinner in bed so I can't complain!!

Kevin has often joked, breakfast in bed is when you see an orange being thrown at you!! He brings home "dinner" alot!! I am so bad, I equally love to cook as much as I love to eat out!
And working in the restaurant business, it's hard to get away from the "fast~food" concept...... But I try to do equal amounts. We love pizza, BBQ chicken, chicken wings and chicken fingers, and I love cheese subs!!
But I love to cook and I make up alot of recipes, but my problem is, I never develope an actual recipe to have other people use. But when I post my "recipes" I hope I give people a basic idea for a food item and they can incorporate all the foods they like into it.
Weezie
And by the way the pizza's are great for EVERY PERSON in the house. My oldest doesn't like cheese, my youngest doesn't like pepperoni, and I LOVE MY SPICEY!! And the hubby like the green spices and I don't, so it works out perfect, that everybody gets what they like and relatively easy to do...(or not do)

Last night I made a lasagna but the man of the house doesn't eat pasta so I had to cook moose meat also. Today the kids want a chicken soup, so I'll keep all of them happy by making it with partridge.

last night I browned a diced onion and then bite-sized pieces of venison with salt & pepper. Then I poured a can of cream of mushroom soup over it and two cans of mushrooms in it, then stirred it well. Served over buttered noodles and with homemade biscuits! no left overs.

Man, am I behind on this section or what?
Papito, I don't eat the polish sausage, (*Yuck on the meat catagory for me) but, I cook the polish sausage in pieces about 1 1/2" thick, I quickly carmelize them on one side, and do the same for the other, the carmelizing brings out their flavor, but keeps the juice inside. Then the carmelizing on the pan, adds to the little bit of the saurkraut juice to the pan, Then, I add the saurkraut only on one side, (*husband can not stand the stuff) so, I cook mine on the saurkraut on the one side, mother and the boys get the middle with the meat and saurkraut and Hubby gets the meat side. All works out. I have to "cook" it, I am not one for too sour of saurkraut, the juice from the sausage is just enough to tame it down.
My mother used to cook it in a cast iron skillet, with a pork roast too, I do not like it that way!! ewwwwwwwwww!! (I am not a big~meat~eater)
And my girlfriend makes her own, I'm not quite into that either!!!

Tamara, I make lasgna here, but I guess mine wouldn't be traditional.. I make it 3 different ways in the same pan...... (which reminds me, I haven't made it in a bit, and I should soon!!) But, I don't eat meat in mine, I do cheese and tomato sauces. And my husband does not like alot of stingy cheese in his meat, so I make it both ways. But my mother likes it lite on the cheese and lite on the meat. so, on one end, I do mine, all cheese, in the middle I do lite of both, and on the other end I pack it with the meat. We all get a nice hot meal, each done their own way, it can be done.. side of salad, and bread and butter or garlic bread... And ONE PAN, that's the greatest part!!!! ohm yum, I"m gonna have to make that soon! Weezie

Tuna Noodle Cassarole, 1 can of tuna (*I perferr the white albacore in water only*) Noodles 1 can of cream of mushroom or cream of celery your choice, and if you like both, use one can one time, the other one the next for variety.
cook noodles, 3/4 the way through, drain, put in micro safe dish or oven (pyrex) drain the tuna if you like it drained, (we don't with the water, when cooking it, you need an extra little bit of water, so it doesn't just turn into mush) add ingredients together, Now, I personally don't like cooked tuna, so, when it's warm from the noodles, I pull mine out, but cook it up for about say 20/25 minutes or so at 350/375 degrees, in oven. Only about 5/8 minutes in micro depending on your micro size..
Weezie
Now say, you don't like cooked mushrooms, or same for celery, both the soups are a good cream base over noodles, just take a strainer and strain the soup through it, it'll give you a smooth sauce over them with out the hunks in it...............
