Hello everyone,

I am attempting to root a pothos in an existing pothos plant. The root stem appears to be limp and doesn't seem like she wants to root. I tried watering, but that didn't perk her up; I also tried putting her in direct sun and that didn't help either. Given that this is my first attempt at rooting, I think I may be going about it wrong. Any suggestions?

I have excellent luck rooting them in a vase of water. It may take a little time, but mine do not wilt that way. Good luck to you!

I root mine in water as well and have had great success. I've also put some straight in with the mother plant, and they've rooted that way.

I've had a lot of luck getting cuttings to root by hanging them in my fish tank. The perk of that is while the cuttings are rooting they help keep the water clean. lol.

Remember to change the water weekly or more often if the water becomes slimy.
