Good Evening All!
I am so excited! I planted potatoes (Russet) for the first time this spring, and am an organic gardner. I use no chemicals of any kind. I dug into the ground (not knowing if there was anything that would resemble a potato in there, and lo and behold!, I found the cutest, smallest potatoe, sort of a fingerling type. I went to the potato section and have it drying out!

Happy Wednesday All!

Thanks! yes it is a wonderful feeling to know I am the only one who knows what went into the ground, (besides egg shells, and coffee grinds, and other compost) unlike the fruits and veggies we see for sale in the market. Lord knows what we're really eating from those stores.

I will post pics as soon as hubby gets battery for digital camera!

Happy Thursday

That is a very good potato. I planted potatoes this spring, but havn't dug any up yet, mind you I have only room for a few plants, next year I can do more. I saved some potatos from some home grown I was given last fall, they were really good ones.

Hi Topcat!
Thanks for the kind words. My ex's grandmother was born in Quebec and when I met him she lived in a beautiful house in Lowell, Massachusettes in the center of town. She had the most beautiful potatoes I had ever seen.

Happy Saturday! flw

Nice looking 'tater! thumbup

Now you need a dog like the one I used to have...
She was an Afghan Hound that LOVED to dig 'taters!
She was so careful to make sure when she got to the 'tater, she wouldn't hurt it. She'd dig real carefully around it and use her nose a lot (they have loooong noses!) and finally roll it out of there and ended up with a little pile of 'taters when she was done.

She was a 'tater diggin' freak! laugh laugh laugh

Hi:

Oh, thank you....I have a dog, but she is afraid of her own shadow, she would probably just cry. I keep telling her she needs to get a job and be a working dog. I have a Wheaten Terrier. She's a lovely family pet.

Your bird is beautiful!

Have a great day!

Maryann
