OP BigJimSlade Member B Joined: Aug 2004 Florida	Hello, Big Jim here: I often read that I should pinch back new growth citrus to promote a bushy look. I have no idea what they mean by pinching. I even looked the definition up here at this site, and it did not hlp me much. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance... Big Jim

MaryReboakly Member Joined: May 2005 z6 S. Illinois	Hi Jim It's basically when you use your thumb and forefinger to remove a bit of the end growth on a plant. I would guess depending on what you need to pinch back, the exact place you pinch off is different. I wasn't real sure how to pinch back my mums...so I just really took a blind stab at it, and pinched off about 1/2 - 1" off the ends, as I saw fit...must've done it right, because they're super busy now Hope that's helped!
