First time growing sunflowers......does this happen often?

Nope, not usual, it's a fluke...
But what a pretty fluke it is...

What happens as far as I understand it is,
that 2 seeds are together when sprouting,
and they are sooooooo close together~that
they merge together...hence growing together..

I had that happen with a dandelion...
It had 3 flowers growing together..

I've also seen trees that do this in the woods.

But Thanks for sharing that with us..
I't always so neat to see pictures..
