6 weeeks ago i purchased and planted 5 hydrangeas that were just coming out of their over wintering dormancy from a local nursery. i plante dthem in a shady location in soil that is not all that organic rather a dry sandy sort. some powddert mildew but not heavy on leaves. as the flowers open to the size of a marshmellow they become crispy and burn looking. 3 days back i sprayed them with a mild solution of 20-20-20.
Thanks for any help
