A Gardeners Forum Forums Gardening Reference Gardening in 2005 oops! my poor purple wave.

I bought a purple wave petunia, and was trying to get it out of the container, but it wouldn't come out, so I gave it a good shake and it fell out before I could catch it. Three new shoots with the flower buds are broken off. Is it still going to spread, or did I do too much damage? I'm sooooooo stupid......

First off, your not stupid, you just had a little
accident. I bought mine a month ago at
Wal-Mart and while taking mine out I too broke
off a stem or two. Mine seems to have filled
out some and is just as pretty as the rest of
them. I am guessing that there is hope for the
little guy. Good luck.

HI accidents happen i think it will be just fine it should put on two new shoots at the set of leafes below the break.good luck on your plant your friend in gardening digger

Thanks terob and digger, and lol, thanks for reminding me, I'm not stupid afterall. I put 2 of the broken off shoots into water, does anyone know if it will sprout roots? Maybe, I'll have more than one purplewave, out of it. Thanks again.
