My husband brings unusual plants home that he finds in the woods. He came across this vine that has bright orange tubular flowers, which looks like it would be great for hummingbirds, which we are trying to keep attracted to our property. Is there any way to transplant this? How do you propagate? Any info about this plant would be a help.

Hi! deb1303 wavey Welcome to the forum! thumbup

Not knowing where you are may make it difficult to guess but my guess is it is a trumpet vine (Campsis radicans). There are so many wonderful plants out there that hummers love.

Here is a link about trumpet vine. Hope it helps. trumpet vine/creeper

Thanks for the help!
Even though the site said the trumpet creeper is native to the SE & Gulf, I've been seeing it up here in Baltimore, mostly wild and growing in the woods off of our beltway. As soon as I can get it to grow (with control!), I know my hummers will enjoy the treat!
Thanks again!

Oh I am sorry I should have explained that the link was just for the main info. It is native in my area too. In the town over from me they have a high wall and it is covered top to bottom with it. It is gorgeous in full bloom.
Good luck with your project.
