Hi, I'm new to the forum (and gardening...learning as I go), and happily came across this site in a search for some answers to a few gardening problems. Specifically, at the moment I need help with my banan palm. Sadly, the leaves of our banana palm have all shredded and it appears sick. Additionally, it has one large "flower" that recently popped out, but it too, looks unhealthy. I can't spot any signs of new growth. Any advice for what I can/should do to nurse it back to health would be greatly appreciated. Someone told me they thought the flower was a sign it was dying. Any chance for me to help it restore its beauty? Thanks.

Hi KCJ
Welcome to the forum wavey
If its flowering then the main stem will die and it won't produce anymore leaves. Is there any sign of suckers coming from around the base of the plant?
Any idea of the variety, i take it, it is growing outside? Do you have a picture?
