Hey all wavey .. my poor spiderplant I think is still in shock from the move to his over cramped planted to his new home.. the hanging basket that I have it in now is much larger then it really needs.. but was hoping he would just take it over.. and the leaves are going brown at the tips.. I have cut back the water big time and have put it more in the light.. but I dont see much of a change with him...
what to do??

I keep mine in bright filtered light. I water it once a week when the furnace is on, and when it is not so dry in here I water it every other and give it a good soaking. Sometimes I forget, lol. Then notice the poor thing droopin. Try letting it dry out completely. it might work.

wavey Hi,
Here are some shots of my spider plant-- I water it when the leaves start looking pale green(which is probably a little TOO long in between waterings frown )
The one with the blinds open shows the amount of light it gets on a typical day. And there is a vent (ch/A) just over it to the right. The light is northern exposure.

what to do? what to do? well guys.. my poor spider plant is pretty much done I think... theres brown crunchy leaf things hanging off the new sprouts.. im not really sure what to do with it.. I let it dry out but nothing is really helping.. I read somewhere that the water ph might have something to do with it.. I also read that you could pretty much rid the plant of all the brown roots ( I guess this is root rot?) and put it in a glass of water and it may come back to life? what do you all think? I have one started but it doesnt seem to be doing much in the water..
