I got a dragon lily (also called a Voodoo lily) about 3-4 months ago. Soon after I got it, it died back. I was assuming it was because of the stress of shipping. Thing is, it hasn't come back.
So I did some research. Seems that it may not like the heat, so naturally dies back. I have it in a pot and have been occasionally watering it - once every 2 weeks or so.
My question is, should I take the rhizomes out of the soil and store them or what? I'm planning on checking them to see if they're still alive and at least repotting them in a smaller pot.

I am in a rental.

A bunch of Dracunculus came up in February, much to my happy surprise. They lasted until the heat came.

The house I am in was empty for months. No one watered the plants after the die-back. And, they were, apparently, not dug up.

So, I imagine yours should be fine.

Cool.
I was hoping that was the case.
