Triss, I make candy at christmas time. I cheat and buy the solid milk chocolate bunnies after easter really cheap then remelt them in a double boiler and pour into my molds. Never tried the white bunnies, if they melt good you could add food colouring and give it a try also.

It's alot of work making hard candy, kind of a trial and error thing.

Well Cindy, technically you are a 49 year old Granny who does not wanna climb in the gravel pile. laugh You do not get to claim 50 until tomorrow. p

I am gonna wait on hard candies when it does not matter so much if I mess it up. Chocolates sound way easier!

Yes Penny and I think Carolyn will like it. She wants something unique that people will enjoy. Everyone likes candy and the card I attach can be a keepsake for anyone who may want that. I am going to get a large heart or tulip punch and use my printer to print out their names and wedding date, punch those out and attach them. I like the idea more and more as I think about it.

Hot alert! It's 75 here right now! With a line of t-storms moving this way this afternoon...probably will be pretty good ones because of the unstable warm air.

It's HOT out there, I had to put capris on, heck now I'm thinking of putting shorts on. That sun is burning me up!

wavey I'm sorry shocked Don't mean to sound like I'm rubbing it in, I'm not...I just can't believe how hot it is! Just last week I was freezing then hot, then freezing...now it's like super maximum hot for this time of year! laugh

I'm good, I've been outside a lot today!

I thought all my mosquito fish in the pond had been caught and moved inside for the winter, but I saw a few in there just now...one was HUGE---the grandaddy of all mosquito fish! laugh

Had lunch over at moms...fish and chips and peas. It was great! She's taking a nap before Athena comes tonight.

I have no clue...it's not 3 feet in the middle like they say it should be to overwinter fish here. It froze solid at least 15 times this winter...and I didn't float a ball in it like they say to, to allow an air pocket.....

Plus they are warm water fish....I'm just shocked, but happy shocked!

Tamara! That's WAY too cold.....I guess you have a very short growing season up there?

Penny wavey ---I don't like the rain much....but I guess it's good in spring for the plants....

Ooooo, you'd probably like it here...it's very rural--lots of trees, mountains, and farms....think of all the lunches you could have at cafe mom! laugh

Christy, what is your temp there today? Probably sort of like here I'd imagine.

Penny----don't you just love having a good hair day! It's a rarity for me anymore...that's why I wear a ballcap so much...quick and easy.

The old mine is closing in February 2010, they announced this morning. They want to have a new mine open by then and they are looking at our properties again. If it goes through this time it will be an open pit mine so they will have to move us all.

We'd move with his nephew for awhile probably. They have a large house in Galt and are thinking of putting an apartment downstairs in it next year.

I've got to go gals. my dryer just shut off and I want to iron the sheets before they are too wrinkled.
