You could even freeze coloured ice cubes in those trays for drinks.

I'm sorry Don't mean to sound like I'm rubbing it in, I'm not...I just can't believe how hot it is! Just last week I was freezing then hot, then freezing...now it's like super maximum hot for this time of year! I'm good, I've been outside a lot today! I thought all my mosquito fish in the pond had been caught and moved inside for the winter, but I saw a few in there just now...one was HUGE---the grandaddy of all mosquito fish! Had lunch over at moms...fish and chips and peas. It was great! She's taking a nap before Athena comes tonight.

Now I'm craving fish and chips. Loz, stop teasing me. Glad your weather is warming up, it feels good to get out and dig. How did the fish survive all winter?

Tamara, sell the farm and move here with me and mom where it's warm! She'll feed you well! Penny, that's pretty warm up there! Nice! It's windy as heck here too---but it's a warm breeze! I feel guilty even sitting here when I could be outside cleaning up the beds.

Well, we might be forced out in the next year if the mine goes through. I'll have to move somewhere.

How did the fish survive all winter? I have no clue...it's not 3 feet in the middle like they say it should be to overwinter fish here. It froze solid at least 15 times this winter...and I didn't float a ball in it like they say to, to allow an air pocket..... Plus they are warm water fish....I'm just shocked, but happy shocked! Tamara! That's WAY too cold.....I guess you have a very short growing season up there? Penny ---I don't like the rain much....but I guess it's good in spring for the plants....

Ooooo, you'd probably like it here...it's very rural--lots of trees, mountains, and farms....think of all the lunches you could have at cafe mom! Christy, what is your temp there today? Probably sort of like here I'd imagine. Penny----don't you just love having a good hair day! It's a rarity for me anymore...that's why I wear a ballcap so much...quick and easy.

The old mine is closing in February 2010, they announced this morning. They want to have a new mine open by then and they are looking at our properties again. If it goes through this time it will be an open pit mine so they will have to move us all.
