Daffodils just make me think "spring" when I see them. Pretty flowers, Jimmy and Tina!

I think I will be looking for some Berginia, too...

They are just tucked onto the hillside, Weezie. Nothing special. But all of them don't bloom every year. Only a few each year. When I divided them I got more blooms from the new divisions though. Maybe they don't like to be crowded. I really don't know.

Weezie, my Bergenia was a big old & ugly looking "stump" sorta thing last year & wasn't very pretty when it bloomed, so I busted it apart & just stuck the pieces down in the dirt last fall. I wasn't real sure if that was how you're supposed to do it, but I got plants out of those & most of them bloomed this year! (They dont look as nice as Tina's, but they'll get bigger with time.) thumbup

I potted up a clump of Daffs & brought them inside a couple weeks ago, & the blossoms only lasted for about 3 days. [Linked Image](I think it was too warm inside for them to stay happy.) So, I dug up another clump & brought them in, but put them back outside once they started to open up.

I have them sitting on the lid of the hot tub, outside the kitchen window, so maybe we'll be able to enjoy them for longer than just a few days!

I had mine in the very back of my "Back~40" and
it was/or seemed happy there..
and then I had some Chinese Lanterns' invade the area and it wasn't doing good anymore there..
So, I had to move it, but where I moved it, it almost died.. so, I put it in a pot, and it seemed to be happy..
But now I really need to find it a spot, but just can't recreat the place it WAS IN, to a new location, and I don't want to loose it again in another unhappy spot...

Just sharing, Carly. Not trying to make anyone jealous. I get a little envious in mid to late summer when all of my blooms are fried and yours are giving you joy.
One more today, a BOP is blooming for me.

Lovin' these pics!! clp

Tina, AWESOME BOP's! (Do those make seeds?) lala

Diane, Why dont you take those strawberries out of that huge pot & put your Brug in there? Strawberries don't have deep roots, so you can move them easily without them even knowing it, & the Brug would probably love that planter!

Tina, that BOP is simply stunning! Is it particular about its' care? Would it survive in SC's humid environment?

Laura, I love that purple hyacinth. I could smell it from here!

Diane, that purple-striped crocus is beautiful. I didn't know that croci came in all different colors until all of y'all started posting about yours. I will be looking for more now...

Might!!

Well, let me rephrase that..
The buds' may get whacked, but the green part should be okay!
And let go as usual for going brown
and then they should come up again next year.....

Can you just throw over one of those clear sterlite containers' over night?
And leave on during the day if need be?

BOP, Bird of paradise. There is good info on it on this site. I don't know how to do that click on thing to send you to the page. It can be grown in pots for indoor, then outdoors in cold climates. They are on plant that survived our freeze this year.
