WOW ! From me too! Patty, I thought the same thing you did, about how similar to Bird of Paradise it looked. So I looked it up and the common name is "Lobster Claw". Very cool! thumbup flw

You must have spelled it right, because Mel just told me that she got the common name after writing "Heliconia rostrata" in, on Google Image Search. wavey

I love that Clerodendron. How large a bloom is that, like, how many inches across, from side to side? They look really large. And so beautiful!!

Hi Charlotte..m glad to b around here too...being around such lovely friends...

Kenny... u r most welcome to Malaysia...just contact me should u come over.. i may b of some help n u may b able to save lots of dollars.. BTW dont forget to 'smuggle' in some Sedum cuttings too...LOL

Hi Shirley4.. i love da Clerodendron too..unfortunately it only flowers once a year..usually soon after da monsoon... da flowers r in bunches..da close shot is of 2 bunches rather close together...thatz why da bunch looks rather large... i measured 'em last evening...side to side they measure about 20inches..

Hi Diane n Penny... m sure your garden n your flowers too r s beautiful if not more so...

Have a nice day everyone....

I think the sexes are the same for the Bulbul. We don't have Bulbuls in the U.S. but they look similar to our Northern Mockingbirds or Loggerhead Shrikes, and the sexes are the SAME in appearance on these two species.
