I have not been on the forum much this week. I felt too sad, my 16 year old long furred black cat died. I found him last monday morning in the kitchen, laid on his side with his eyes half closed.
I feel so lonely without him,he was such a gentle cat,I miss him in the morning when he jumped on my bed purring and cuddling, then snuggling up to me while I stroked his black glossy fur. I miss his amazing pure golden eyes that showed his love. I feel such painful greif, my eyes burn with red hot tears,I cannot turn my thoughts away from Teddy. As I type I feel weak and sore to the core of my soul. My world seems ashen, with everything shattered around me. I miss him so much.

Glenda, my heart goes out to you. We lost our 23 year old cat last September, so I know how "empty" your house & heart feels right now. I'd like to think that our Bodhi has greeted your Teddy, & is showing him around the beautiful place called RAINBOW BRIDGE . There is a drop down site index at Petloss.com that offers links to many sources of comfort for you right now, when you're hurting so badly. Thanks for sharing this with us. So many of us have (or have had) pets, & know how much they enhance our lives. Your loss is no small thing to us, & we're here for you. ![[Linked Image]](http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a201/PattySpencer/Friends--Godsway.jpg)

Like everyone else here has written, I, too lost a kittie a few years ago. She was only 4, and just beginning her life with us. It is a very difficult time, and you will get through it, but will also remember fondly your love for Teddy. We all here hug you and hope you know we are here for you - I'm so glad you wrote about him! ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/LynneNY/smilies2/smiliegrouphug.gif)

{{{glenda}}} i'm so sorry for your loss.
i know exactly how you feel...i felt the same way when my Sweetie died (she was 17 also). i cried for a week straight.
i STILL miss her and it's been more than 5 years now...
the pain lessens over time. doesn't completely go away - just gets a little easier to deal with.

Oh Glenda, I understand how you feel. I have lost several cats and dogs over the years but the hurt is still intense with each one. I always have several cats and dogs at any given time (hubby calls me "Mother Theresa of the Animal World) but it's still very painful when I lose one. I hope when you get over Teddy, you will go and adopt a new one--there are always so many needing a good, loving home.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, the shock of losing Teddy has gone, but I feel that I am wrestling to come to terms with his death. I keep asking myself WHY, he was very active and young for his years. My other 3 cats keep looking for him ,which upsets me.I keep praying to keep strong.
