recycle the front of holiday cards received last year, to make new Christmas/Holiday post cards to send to friends and family This Year.
Just cut off top cover, write on back and send post card rate;-)

Or use them as gift tags.
Or cut out parts for tags or to recreate your own card on blank cardstock.
Or cut out part of the picture (santa, snowman etc) add glitter punch a hole and hang (like a victorian style) ornament. Use a bunch as a garland.
Or if the back is already written on, glue it to the top of a package, 'frame' it with glitter, ribbon, or cotton(snow effect)

Some of the really nice ones that I receive get matted and framed and set around the house as holiday accents.

Since I am an avid reader, I cut special strips through the middle of the main picture, or cut of beautiful borders and they serve me as book markers. I have a box full! That way I use them and see them all year long.
I have used them also as gift tags, but I really like most of your ideas. So now I have a few more things I can do with them!! Thanks

Those are great idea's Shirley...
I love the book mark suggestions..
*then if they get lost or a wee~bit bent
~~~>which around my house is not hard to do,
then you can cut yourself a new one and not fret that you spent alot of money on it.. thumbup
**My mom uses' her cards, for grocery shopping
lists.. she says she gets so many, and hates to
throw them away, and then use another piece of paper for her g~lists, so, she started doing that about 40 years ago..**
*Can you just imagine how many trees' she's saved doing that* thumbup
Last year I used up all my old christmas cards.
Here's what I did ......pasted all my seeds swapping into them.....it was double protection all around....Cut the card down to fit the new envelope and that was it ....All gone.
I like to look at them for a while yet.. Someone sent me one from Santa..........I know not yet who......
It was in Pennsylvania and our county.. So it was either a friend or relative..
Still waiting for them to mess up.
dodge ......hee hee hee
