sandy, I used to make candles all the time...made some really neat ones.
I'd get something in my head (like a hamburger) and make a candle that looked just like a hamburger.

For the hamburger I would make the buns out of pouring the right color wax into a shallow bowl. When it was cooled, I'd pop it out and there was my bun! I made the hamburger by coloring the wax dark brown, then as it was cooling whipping it with a mixer..then forming a patty out of it. It looked just like a hamburger! Then I cooled a little flat pool of orange wax on a sheet of waxed paper. When it was almost cool I'd cut it into the shape of a piece of cheese, and while it was still pliable I'd make my hamburger...bun, burger, cheese dripping over the top of the burger, then the top bun...all held together by a little bit of hot wax. Then drill my tiny hole in the middle and add the wick.

I wish I had some pics of the ice cream soda candles I made a few Christmases ago...in antique soda glasses. They were cool.

I might just have to drag my candle stuff back out now! grinnnn

We are! laugh laugh laugh

It's okay, we'll just say we learned it from Cindy! laugh

I don't bake much at all, so yep they are VERY nice!

I have a tart warmer too...one of those metal electric ones that you pop the tart on and let them melt...You can get yummy scented tarts!

Nice candles Sandy, you've done a great job. I was peaking through your photobucket Tytianna is a beautiful baby. I love how they posed her for the picture, gorgeous.

Oh by the way, I ruined a mixer making wax bubbles for those ice cream float candles that Cidy is talking about. laugh

Can you either fix the URL or something?

When I look it says, "Sorry, the page you requested was not found"
