Hi. I retired last year as a kid of sixty and decided that I had to do something a little more energetic than playing bridge and emailing friends. So I moved to a house with a large garden (actually it's still more of a jungle) by the coast. Unfortunately not the USDA 9b/10a coast of CA even though I wanted to grow palms and exotics. Still it is a challenge and it is amazing how many palms etc. will stand our relatively mild winters (rarely below 25f even in the depths of winter at night. Today for example is 50f and overcast, quite common during the day in winter. In summer we get about 80f so quite a temperate climate. My soil is very slightly acid so no problem there.
Unfortunately the boss lady is not speaking at the moment because you can't move in the house for seedlings (I'm waiting for the greenhouse to be put up). Still when you get a new hobby......

I don't know if I'm allowed to reply on my own welcome page Thornius but I felt I should just say that you clearly have a similar malady to me i.e. sickus sensus humorus. I am therefore sending you the address of my specialist, a Dr. Simon Garfunkle, in an unmarked plain envelope.

P.S. Yes we actually do have a great fair every year in June, but they sell mainly cheese and salami, not parsley etc. nutz
