Cats love their salads too!
Have you tried growing anything fresh and green for Kiki to eat? There are cat grasses and catnip and loads of things to perk your cat's interest. The least expensive is to grab a pinch of plain old grass seed and sow it on top of the soil in a pot. Put it out for her/him when it is a couple inches tall.

Cats love anything that is "pokey" like that. They will try to nibble on spider plants also. And like Tina said, they will nibble on cat nip (we call it 'kitty crack') and grass if you plant it and leave it where the kitty can get to it. Greens are good for their digestive system.

I've seen catnip seed at smaller pet stores before and at Lowes. Actually, during the spring, Lowes should have catnip started in small pots. I've gotten that before. My cats don't go as wild for the growing catnip but will kill anything to get the dried catnip.

I've got Catmint growing in my garden and some of the cats around here that go outside like to roll around in it smile , but I've never seen them eat it. I guess it's more like Catnip Duh . Luckily, it's in a spot that really doesn't disturb my garden if they get in it. smile

You know, My guys like their catgrass too...but I don't think I'll be doing it anytime soon.
The problem is that this is what happens to it (note the chunk of catgrass behind dynah). Of course, they're quite pleased with the results laugh
