I too have some cool photos that I am pretty proud of.
these were taken about 2 months ago just down the street at the port.

To add to Mrs. Bradley's Oregon Coast pics, here's a sample of some awesome fossils that we found near the Coquille River Lighthouse at Bandon, Oregon. The best time to beachcomb for fossils & some of the other things that wash up is after big storms (like the Pineapple Express that hit Western Washington & Oregon last November, when flood waters wash into the ocean), & after extremely high or low tides.

It's my understanding that these are relatively "new" fossils ... cuz they haven't been under pressure "for very long". (Although I'm not sure exactly how that works!) thumbup

ohhhhhhhhhhhh Patty - you reminded me of the time we went to a wedding in Oregon - can't remember the name of the town, but we all stayed in a rented house right on the beach! We found such terrific fossil rocks too - great fun! I wish I could find mine and share them too, but we've moved several times since, and they are boxed up safely somewhere! Duh perpl

Love the fossils,Patty 'specially the last one. weve never walked the beach in Bandon.mostly just stop for chocolate, and formerly for cheese. (wish they wouldnt have shut that down)on our way to Coos Bay.

looks like we will have to stop and stroll if the rain ever lets up!!

BTW:I'm in Brookings grinnnn

yeah,no kidding,

the ocean here always stays pretty darn cold.
does the water temp over there get a little warmer in summer?

ps...cold water doesnt bother my 12 yr. old. she tried gettin her feet in the water on a recent trip down the coastline. nutz
