I sent in a few pictures for our Town Planner Calendar for next year---I just got the new one the other day. They take pics from amateur and professional photographers from the area...The calendar goes to 65,000 people in the area and I just think it would be cool to know that that many people would have to stare at my pic for a month! laugh

These are the ones I sent in..... grinnnn

Cropped the people out of this one.

This one I took the date out of.

I'll be sending them in all year now...they'll get sick of me! laugh

They are all good, but wow! that butterfly shot just takes my breath away. Smudge the date out, and it's absolutely perfect.

Congrats on getting some really great shots!

The butterfly is gorgeous and that water shot would be perfect for September, when the weather is getting cooler but you can still walk on the beach without freezing your tush off.

Looky at what I got back already...now I gotta downsize them...Yay!

Laura:

The photos are wonderful!
Our contest for next year will not start until February, but I have some folks like yourself who have already expressed an interest. As we get so many great photos we typically limit it to 3 entries per person. If you would like to enter any 3 of your photos, you can do so. Just let me know which 3, and please keep in mind that photos will need to be 300 dpi.

Thanks so much for your interest and support. It is people like you who have made us successful.

Only 3!!! Oh my gosh, I gotta narrow it down and what if I take killer pics during the year???? eek

I guess I'll submit the butterfly(that's my fav), the hummingbird(my second fav), and I don't know about a third yet...hmmmm... perpl

I think it's just dots per inch? Or am I totally wrong? laugh I found a way to change it to 300 dpi but it didn't change the pic size....is that how it works? kissies

I don't win anything if I get picked, but I'd love to know all those people were looking at my pic for a month!

I'm doing a little smudging and cropping. wink

What do you mean ...you wouldn't win anything???? Girl..., If you have 65,000 people looking at the same Picture for 30- 31 days thats..., well that's.. over 1,950,000 views of your picture,, based on one months time!! Now I'd say that's a pretty big reward!!! cool clp

Okay, here's the butterfly picture with the date taken out....you can't tell right?

[Linked Image]

And what do you all think of these two?

[Linked Image]

I always like this one because of the way the clouds behind the mountains look like more mountains sort of.....

Thank you both for your input. kissies thumbup

That morning of that cloud pic was amazing...it was dark and cloudy but blindingly bright because of that sunburst. And I've never saw it like that before...with clouds at the bottom of the horizon AND at the top.

The hummer is one of my favorites too Penny.

Hmmm, decisions, decisions...and it can only be 3! eek
