Hi Nigel ~

I took a few pottery classes a few years ago - back when I first joined the forums here - that's how I got my screen name here - plants n' Pots - the pots for the ones I was trying to make! laugh Duh

Unfortunately, I did not have a lot of success on the wheel, as I had sprained one of my thumbs shortly before I signed up for the first class, and wasn't able to do all that was necessary to get a nice shaped pot. I did continue with making hand built pottery after that first class, and enjoyed that very much.

I hope you have lots of fun, and I can't wait to see some of your pots!

What fun! I would love to try pottery one of these days, just to say I did it. There is a place here in town that does classes for kids and I thought mine would enjoy it over the summer.

Please be sure and share your creations with us as you travel down the pottery road.

Uhhh...when I have gotten mad at a certain person before I have thrown pots, cups, plates...you name it! shocked laugh lala

All seriousness aside...this is something I have always wanted to do...since I was a kid. I can remember when I was about 7 I ruined a good turntable (yes, the kind you played "records" on) trying to make pottery out of play dough on it.

I hope you post some pictures of your creations here!

Cindy
