and they had Chocolate Mint, started to buy one, thought I had, but evidentially didn't cuz it's not in the bag. But I did get 2 parsley plants and a spearmint plant because it smells so good. They didn't have one of those lemon things someone was talking about a while back that makes the house smell so good. I don't cook a whole lot so I don't know what I'd do with Chocolate Mint anyway. I don't like Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream so I might not even like to use it. You can't go wrong with parsley though. I put it in everything.

I also bought some squash, sweet potatoes, and a rudabega. We had a good dinner.

Lucky you, Sheri! thumbup Our Farmers Market doesn't start up until the end of May! I'm going to try to stay away from there this year, because I'm getting ready to start my own seeds. (I've done that in the past, but that was before I found this site & learned what I'd been doing wrong!) If things go as planned, I'll have plants to share with friends, so they won't have to go there either... unless they want something that I don't have! grinnnn

I got kind of mad at the people there last year, as none of their plants had been hardened off & I lost every one of them, after spending a bunch of money! I don't think it hurts to do a hardening off process with ANY new plants you buy at those Saturday Markets, just in case!

(Thanks for mentioning the Parsley! I don't have any Parsley seeds yet, but I just put them on my list!)

This market is a big one and open every day as soon as it gets warm. I think my plants will be fine but that's a good point about some of them. They grow their squash in a green house and have it all year long. Yum.

Farmer's Markets are awesome and I think you get much better quality than at the stores and the prices are usually better too. wink

I'm taking the whole weekend off and going to Virginia Beach. One of the things I want to do on Saturday, is to go to the Farmer's market down there. They have a great butcher shop. I want some of their smoked pork chops.
