Brennan's birthday parties started Tuesday with a skating party with his dad's family. This is one of the presents his dad got him...that we were not too happy about...



At his party Thursday (Rachel's family) he finally got his gift card from CindyGranny.



Today was the pool party with his friends...



He wanted me to take this picture to show you all his new teeth he's finally getting on the bottom.
He's very proud of them!

He smiled really big in all his pictures so he could keep showing off his teeth!

(He took the chalk outside immediately and drew pictures all around the pool!)

(Very funny, Patty...sending him a whoopee cushion to put in my chair!)

Oh gosh I forgot Brennan's birthday! I was so depressed on the 24th too. I am so glad he has some other (and better) garden ants to think of him.

Very happy little boy there!! Happy to see he had soo much fun!!

He is very happy and proud of those teeth.
He's never had them before...they fell out before they were even all the way in because of the bone disease...and he has been laughed at and made fun of at school for 3 years because of it.

He was singing and dancing Thursday night to a new CD he got, and changing the words of a song to "I'm so happy I have teeth! My friends won't make fun of me!"

Gosh, I was envisioning like a hot wheels toy type motorbike! Not a real one! And the presents, and the cake!

No.....the only way I would go in the pool is if someone was drowning.

Rachel puts a note in the invitations she sends to his classmates, telling the parents that a licensed EMT and Certified Lifeguard will be at the party...so I have to sit by the pool the entire 2 hours. It was so hot today I ALMOST stuck my foot in the pool!

I'm glad his permanent teeth are on their way in - I can just imagine how elated he is about that!

That's some nice pool Rachel has there - I'm thinking it would hold a lot of GH'ers if we ever get together at CindyMommy's place!!!

I'd be the first one in the pool!!! No foot dipping for me, I'd look like a prune by the time I got out CindyGrannyLifeguardEMT.

There was one little boy there that couldn't swim...and he got a mouthful of water, then swallowed the wrong way and got choked.
I was just ready to jump in and he said, "I'm OK!"

Glad he had a good time. I will keep him in my prays for safety with the new dirt bike. I am fighting my husband on one for the kids for christmas right now. I think we may compromise on a go cart.

Cindy- So glad to hear he had such a great birthday!! He looks so happy and proud of those teeth! Does he have trouble pronouncing things correctly without them or has he gotten used to them not being there?

Anyway! Glad to hear that you didn't have to use the EMT skills and that he had a blast! Watch out for the Whoopie cushion...Summer got one last year! :rolleyes:

Well, I'm really, really happy that Brennan had such a good birthday! "OUR day" should never be an unhappy one anyway, but this fella is such a cool kid, he deserves every happiness that comes his way! (His Mom & CindyGranny surely know how blessed they are to have such a precious, handsome young man in their lives!)

And I'm especially happy to hear about the new teeth!

I had a different card in my hand & was headed for the check-stand, when that one "spoke to me"! I didn't like that the outside of the card had a couple vocabulary words that probably would need to be explained to a 10 year old... I can't remember the exact wording, but it says something like, "This birthday card is to a person who has a refined, sophisticated sense of humor," & the inside says, "from one who doesn't!") ...But what was taped to the inside is what really counted!

SHAME ON YOU, CINDY, for reading his personal mail... that message was for HIM!
I hope he does what I suggested to him though, & takes the Whoopee Cushion to your house & has fun with it! (I meant to caution him to keep it away from Lola... if she doesn't approve of it, it just might end up shredded!)
