Scrapbooking! Its a great way to spend your time, its so nice to look through pictures and you can spend as much or as little as you want on your pages. The Dollar General store has lots of supplies for very reasonable prices and you can get lots of ideas and patterns on DIY websight.

Hi there Tina how are you??
I have been busy crocheting a blanket for the sofa.. as well as a table cloth for the dining room table.. Re-upolstered some chairs today..
I usually switch off on the crafts..
I do stained glass, mosiac (haven't started that on yet still cutting glass) Crochet and... when it gets really bad in the winter I start painting the house haha..
I have like a bagillion patterns I just found at a yard sale yesterday.. Soooo if you are looking for anything in particular let me know and I will try to find something for you..
Ohh I also sew...got lots of patterns for that too!
Cross stiching is pretty easy too..
Good luck with your search!

I am crocheting this fall and scrapbooking. Making homemade cards for the holidays is a good way to spend the fall time. Getting inexpensive clay pots and painting them over the winter is fun and gives you a head start on new planters in time for spring planting as well as homemade holiday gifts.

I have used acrylic paints and then I just spray them afterwards with a clear coating. The kids and I did them one year for the Grandmothers.

Hey, there!

How about quilting? Learning to sew a straight line is....dare I say it? Pretty straight forward!

You can do simple patterns, like a nine patch or pinwheels. Start with a placemat, etc.

I love collection lots of fabric! Between my mom and I....we have a great stash...and often go *shopping* at each other's houses.

Anyway, quilting is simple and fun....and as you learn to sew you can get fancier or more elaborate with the patterns.

OK - here's a site with videos.
I do the Continental method - learned that years ago from my mom - it really does go quickly.

knittinghelp.com

Another good one...

stitchcafe

Another from Lion Brand Yarn...

Lion Brand Yarn

Hope this gives you a good start.
I'm going to go look at the links someone posted for learning how to crochet - can't for the life of me remember how to do it!
