Here's the original topic in case anyone wants to see it.

original kitchen remodel

Here's the link to the old and new pictures!

loz\'s kitchen remodel before and after!

The difference is amazing, the dining room and kitchen were combined to make one room, and everything in there is new...it was totally gutted out! shk

Thanks Triss, it was a lot of hard work & every single thing you see but the back door is new!

But I LOVE it now, and can't believe how terrible it was when we bought the house.

The walls had contact paper on them in the kitchen! laugh

It is beautiful, Loz. I loved the before and after layout.
I so want to move my kitchen to the livingroom here. The kitchen is tiny and we don't use the livingroom. We live in the den and the deck.

Bright and new was what I was aiming for! I like lots of light!

Mark did a pretty good job huh? Considering he did it all by himself...with a little help from me here and there.....getting that drywall on the ceiling almost killed me! laugh

I see you have a personal handyman also, aren't they the best. Looks great. I especially like the railing detail on top of the cupboards. I think that guy is a keeper wink

Thanks everyone, I'll be sure to tell Mark when he gets home from work later....I'm sure his chest will puff out. thumbup

We rarely eat out there to be honest, but I sit out there a lot in the day....and now that the wall is knocked out I can make the table bigger....in that picture it's small. And of course, I gotta have a TV in there! laugh

Tamara, my mom had her kitchen totally redone a few months before me--but she had professionals come do most of it. I copied that railing from her! laugh Thought it added a nice touch.

I had so many paint samples before we picked that color...Some were cool, but I wimped out and went with the neutral cream because you can accesorize with any color then. It's the same color our living room is painted too.

loz - I was just looking at your pictures again - what fun to see!
I wanted to ask you how you like that stove?
We really need a new one, and I was looking at the flat tops like that one.
Which brand do you have?

Beautiful Loz! I saw that railing in a house once before and fell in love with it! I also noticed your dish rack...I have the same one- I love mine!

I don't use the dishrack too often now I have the dishwasher Tonya, but it's nice to have!

Angie, I just have a weird product obsession...whether it's hand soap, dish soap, or shampoo, etc....I like variety. laugh

Lynne, I love that stove...I can't tell you how nice it is to not have to clean out the things under the burners.....no space for food to drop down anywhere. It's great. You just have to make sure you use the special bottle of cleaner on it. I got some when I bought the stove.

I also love that it's like extra counterspace when I need more room. We bought the Frigidaire brand, and I haven't had any problems with it. It's one of the less expensive brands, but to be honest I didn't want all of the extra confusing buttons the more expensive ones had.....Plus our fridge is the same brand. I will never go back to a normal stove again.

Thank you for all the compliments BTW.....it was h#ll during the remodel...from start to total finish it took just under a year.
