and I keep in glue sticks, glitter, about 25 shaped scissors *the one's that make crinkle cuts, and wavey lines, and zig~zag patterns* and construction paper and assorted foam shapes and colored pencils, markers, stapler, regular scissors, rulers, crayons, pencils and pens.. and just fun stuff.. and we get that out and just have funnnnnn!

Those are some good ideas. Have done many of them but always go back to the Kool Aid play dough. My kiddos love that one.

Rita,
Thats a wonderful link, I can use it for this winter for those long days when "we're bored.
I have a feeling it's going to be a cold snowy winter here this yr.... but sure hoping we stay like we have been for a long while yet.... leaves are changing already though....
I have a box I made when Joseph was little- we call it the Barney box cause we got the idea from Barny's bag on the show- has all sorts of odds and ends in it- got to remember to add some stuff to it- need some more "junk" in there.... and the school is asking for stuff too so need to go thru my stash of stuff for them too.

We have a shelf in the kitchen with all that fun craft stuff, and a drawer in the fridge full of Goop that they love to play with. My kids love stencils. They will play with them for such a long time.

Triss we love the kool-aid playdough too. We have a whole box full of playdough stuff, cookie cutters rolling pins. I find a lot of their playdough tools at yard sales and thrift stores.

Oh I wanted to add this craft idea for you all. You have your kids make a picture of an orange, lemon, lime, grape you get the picture there. Anyway you use jello powder and glue it on kinda like glitter but it makes their creation smell like what ever it should be. Mine love this one.
