This came to me while reading about this terrible tragedy!!

Descending to the bowels of earth
To work and toil each day,
While loved ones worry, watch and wait
And for their safety pray.

They recognize the dangers well
Their livelihood entails,
And pay the dearest price of all
When slipshod safety fails!

Who comforts all the grieving hearts
Of those now left behind;
How will they justify the loss
Within that dreadful mine?

harleygal< I'm praying for the families. The idea those men left notes to their families comforting their wives and children before their leaving this earth is commendible in that of it's self : the bravery and acceptance of God's choice to 'bring home their spirits from borrowed bodies,' is a bravery and acceptance I could never imagine. That poem was so on point .. We never know what the next day brings,, it's so important to always let those you love feel the love from you,, and to never be a word shy of expressing it..

Thanks for sharing....
