Excellent picture....(of an excellent guitarist)

Kirk Hammett is his name.

Let's see....if I recall correctly Metallica cut their hair short for the release of their 'Load' album in 96, so you drew this in the last 10 years.....

OK...another useless tid bit....One of his favorite quotes.... "My guitars are my umbilical cord. They're directly wired into my head"
And for those few that like blistering riffs, intense power chords, genius solos, and pentatonic bluesy laid-back melodies his quote offers a great explanation of how he accomplishes it.

That's it! I couldn't remember if it was Kurt or Kirk and didn't want to look like an idiot! Yes, I drew that while in college...I'd say around 97 or 98. I didn't like the short hair on these guys, and was rather disappointed with them after the Black album, but I still turn up the volume in the truck when I hear them.
After working on this piece, which was ALOT more time consuming than the bird, my hand was still trying to do the whole dot dot dot thing...even in my sleep. But I love my tech pens!
I do paint, tho I don't think I'm very good at it and it takes me such a long time. As you can see, I have this obsession with details, and I can't quit until something is perfect. I like to paint with acrylics, and I'm best with my airbrush.
I just got a book on painting flames, so, if I can wrap my head around that one, I'll show them off too, LOL.
Thanks very much for the praises. I'm trying to venture into selling my artwork, so I'm needing to boost the self-esteem department just a bit. smile I'm currently working on a pencil sketch of our family castle in Ireland, and when it's finished, I'll drop it off...so to speak. lol

Again...thanks for the wows...lol!

LOL...yes, I said castle. We have a 'family' castle that my ancestors built in the 1500's that is now in the possession of the country of Ireland...but we still call it ours. And, yes...I will post that as soon as it's finished. It's just a simple little pencil sketch of it...nothing major. wink

I'm gonna work on it some more today. On that particular piece, if I don't watch myself, I end up trying to draw every brick in the building! lol
