My English Mastiff who poops/pees in the front yard is no longer doing this in the front yard and going out into the trees or behind the quonset instead!!! He won't even go in the front yard and comes out of his dog door in the morning and walks down the sidewalk out to the trees to do his business. We don't have it on all the time, but he still looks at it from a distance and stays out. YAHHHHHHHH!!!! clp

ND, is the ScareCrow activated by motion? Noise? As smart as dogs are, you may need to keep an eye on him when the sprinkler is turned off. He may sneak out there and "kill" it. laugh

It says motion, but the booklet says it is more of a heat sensor. It scares the bigeeses out of me when I forget it's on! It can sense up to 35 feet and sprays 1000 square feet.

I was afraid he's go and chew on it too, but so far - he doesn't like it - big baby. I move it to a few different spots, just to keep him on his toes! Haven't had to clean up one mess since I put it up last week! It's great!

Duh (They do back off when I turn the hose on them, if they wander through while I'm watering the gardens!)

It'd be great if that sort of thing would chase squirrels off too... I don't have them here, but so many friends of mine keep losing garden things to those sneaky little jerks!

Patty, I bet it would work with Deer unless they became accustomed to it and started using it for a daily shower. laugh

Scarecrow Motion-Activated Water Sprayer

As for the squirrels, I gave up trying to deter them and just put out dried corn, peanuts, etc. for them and enjoy their antics. wink
