I have never attended any High School reunions. Our High School was large and I just wasn't close to many of my fellow students. BUT...Jr High school was a differnet story. It was small and we were ALL very close and most of us had gone to elementary school and just grown up together. Well...I said all of that to say that I got to attend a 30 year Jr. High school reunion in Tulsa this week~end. It was so overwhelming and such an emotional time. We had a larger turn out than expected and had people fly in from all over. California, Florida, Virginia, Louisianna...etc...and many drove in from all over. It was just a blast from the past! I was so amazed at how everyone turned out as adults..it was so awesome!
It certainly didn't top my trip to Kentucky but came in a close second to it. I am so thankful I got to go and be re~connected to people I haven't seen in so many years. I laughed and bawled all week~end.
Do you all attend your High School reunions???? Man I just wish we hadn't waited 30 years to do this...

It's nice you got to go, Vanessa!
Glad you enjoyed it.

Me and Mel were talking about school reunions yesterday on the phone!
I went to my 20 year reunion in 1995...(yes, I'm old!) p
I was voted the one there that hadn't changed at all since high school...still had the long straight hair with beads braided into it...in other words everyone else grew up and I was stuck in the 70's! laugh

It lasted 2 days of non-stop partying, and by the time it was over I had...well, never mind. Let's just say I won't be going to anymore high school reunions! shocked laugh lala

Well...I found out that some of the boys I REALLY liked had a crush on me and I never knew it...Some of the gang had changed a LOT and some looked exactly the same. I got to see the guy I had a crush on and MAN~O~MAN...he is STILL very handsome...we laughed and cried all week~end. I know have e~mail and physical addresses so I can attempt to keep better in touch.
We were quite a partying group as well Cinja...I mean it was 3 & 4am every night. The bar made a killin off us. grinnnn

I forgot to mention that there were 3 of our teachers and our cheerleading sponsor that showed up as well...that was a HUGE surprise. It was such a blast...lot's of pictures from the good ol' days...and even more stories.
AND...the clothes style was about the same then as it is now with the exception we would have never been allowed to show our bellies in the short shirts that they are wearing now...but the hip hugger bell bottoms were the rage! We were such hippies. laugh

That sounds like so much fun Vanessa! I'm glad you got to go and have a great time!

I've been to most of my reunions, but I don't think I'll be going again. It's great to see some, not so great seeing others and it's just one night and then it's over and I never see or hear from anyone until the next reunion.

They are incredibly HORRID that's why.....I mean REALLY BAD. Even my cheerleading pic the sun was in my eyes and I look like some kind of an alien with pom poms. Just picture any ol' hippy and you will have a pretty good idea....
