Deadly E. coli outbreak tied to bagged spinach
Dozens sickened in 9 states; consumers warned not to eat fresh greens
WASHINGTON - Federal health officials worked Friday to find the source of a multistate E. coli outbreak and warned consumers that even washing the suspect spinach won"t kill the sometimes-deadly bacteria.

One person died and dozens of others were sickened in the nine-state outbreak, linked by Food and Drug Administration officials to bagged spinach.

I got this article from msnbc.com, & thought everyone should know!

I saw this on the news this morning, and was glad that we very seldom eat spinach...

I feel so bad for the ones that are experiencing these problems...

I bought a bag of spinach day before yesterday! shk
I wonder if mine is safe?
I was gonna have a spinach/salmon salad for dinner tonight.

Guess I need to find out what brand is bad.

I saw it on the news this morning too, and they said not to eat any bagged spinach and to wash any of the bagged salad mixes with warm water before using. Geesh, that's sure going to make some pretty limp looking salads. eek I love spinach with hard-boiled eggs sliced over the top, then I pour vinegar over it, idea
