I wrote this poem way back in 1990 when owning a home was not financially feasible. Sandra and I finally bought our first home this year - of course, hanging on the front porch is a sign that reads "Rainbow's End"

One day I will return
to where memories make my heart yearn
Buy a few acres of land
A place to make my final stand

Have a house to call home
settle down, no more to roam
plant a garden to tinker around
Good things coming from the ground

I've even got the name in my head
the perfect title for my homestead
I see the sign and it makes me grin
Coming home to rest at "Rainbow's End"

Aww, that is so nice, and I'm glad that you finally got your "Rainbows End"! thumbup

I like when people name their houses with signs. My family moved here from England and the year we moved in Dad made a sign that says "Little England". It's still hanging on their porch! thumbup
