laugh laugh that's what andy said when scott bought it for me, but he kinda sorta got a "double dog dare" today... see, kate and i were picking at him and i told him kate could drive his truck back, and he could ride with me, and one of the women from work (we were at a baby shower, couples style) said "andy NEVER lets anyone drive HIS truck" after which, he promptly handed kate the keys laugh

so, when i hit 70 on the parkway, he was grinning so hard i could see him in the mirrors!

it's a yamaha v-star 650. with added saddle bags and windshield. rides very smooth, not too loud (i didn't want a harley sounding bike, my ears are bad enough as it is) and i got it brand new with only 3 miles on it. it only had 1/2 mile when i got it, but they put 2 miles on it doing the safety inspections.

my only "problem" with it is that it is only a 5 speed, 1 down, 4 up. i really should be a 6 speed for the type cruising i do on it. oh well, i love it, what can i say!

kissies loz, i'd never do 70 with you on the back... you live where it is just toooooo hilly! now, down here, on a good, flat straight of way? then you can do 70, 80 or more. but there? NO WAY!!! i do love it though.

on the interstate tonight coming home, the wind was bad. i hit 80 and cruised, and for the first time, i really noticed the wind. it didn't help that the stretch of highway i was on is 3 lanes each way, and i was getting passed like i was standing still :p

so, tell keith, i'm with him on the wind thing.

nope, you are spelling it right. i just had trouble with the wind blowing on the highway tonight, so that was what was on my mind.

mind does ok and i don't usually have the high revs except when 5th winds out on the highway :p

of course, i don't have a tach, so i have to go by sound grinnnn
