I have two of these lanterns that are broken beyond repair. They're in tact, but won't light. I thought about growing something in them...I can remove the top part and fill with soil around the old part thats supposed to light. They're fairly small - the cylinder that would hold the soil is about 4" deep by about 2" across. I'd like something that might spill out of them, or something similar. May be hanging them on a hook...? Any ideas?

Yeah . . . and if they have covers, with air ventillation you could put 'em the garden to guide the path for the garden fairies at night.

Heh! Heh! Well, when you have people coming over.

I wouldn't discard them, at any rate - I'm sure you'll think of something.
