No Weezie this shouldn't be moved to the recipe section!LOL

My Flapjacks (Kalanchoe thyrsiflora) are not looking as perky and lost their sheen.....what do I do? It was recently transplanted and in a semi shady area! Can I plant this one in full sun in the ground?

Cat, we have a coupla those, but for some reason, they don't like the sun, much. We have them under the plants that are on stands so they don't get direct.

Hi catlover.

I just took a photo of our Flapjacks for you to view. While you are there check out the photos of our newest bloom, as well as a couple of peanuts we found that look like birds. Jillie whipped out her every ready turquoise and purple paints and prettied them up. The pictures are in the album named Newest Mother, etc.

Newest Mother, etc.

Well your flapjacks color looks like mine....wonder why is was sooo green before....like as if someone had waxed it!

Those are peanuts she painted?....they look big since there isn't anything nearby to size it with. Illusion! They are cute!

Oh I can tell someone loooooves their new camera!!!!! Good shots of the bluebird....Ha Ha did it poop on her head yet? laugh J/K
Have you been doing the rapid 3 shot fire to get the bird in at least one shot! Duh Wonder what that bird would do if you made him work for it out of your hand. Like put it under a little piece of paper towel?????? or in a little box of somekind so he actually had to stick around to pull it out????? Or would he just take off????
Just curious if you had tried?

Okay I'm asking....Do you love your new camera??

Catlover, one of our flapjacks used to have wide pink edges..It kept its pink while it was in the sun, but I think with all this hardscape here, the heat got to be too much for it and it didn't do well. Ever since I moved it to the shade, it's perked up ALOT, but, it's GREEN now... Duh

Catlover, you bet I do! wavey

Yes the peanuts are painted, Jillie paints anything here that isn't nailed down with those turquoise and purple colors! laugh

I only made one shot to get that fabulous pic of Ashleigh and the Blue Birdie. I had the camera on the Action setting which puts the shutter speed at 1/1000th of a second. One snap and there is was!

Next time Jillie is out feeding the Blue Birdies, we will have to try those things you suggested. My guess is that it will get frustrated and just take off. But, who knows! wink
