I just talked to the landlord. And he doesn't want 400 sq ft of the weed patch touched. There goes the sunny side of the garden. Bye plans for potatoes and other good things. (need graemlin tossing plans out the window.)

I'm not going to get depressed. Just pick myself up and keep on going.

Sorry to hear that TK. Did he give a reason?? So, the shady area is available for planting? Hmm.. gotta find out what grows good in shade. Bill has a big guide on the garden helper for that.. but not sure if he included veggies on the list.

Good Morning Meg,

Doesn't matter I've pretty well covered that area with plants except where it is really steep. I think I'll just let the nasty neighbor take that over with the berry canes. I'm sure there is a good side to this I just can't see it yet.

Going to go dig up the rest of the marigolds so I can give them to the neighbor.

Have a wonderful day.

There is an upside.

The neighbor gets some flowers which she dearly loved.

I will have more money, time and energy to put on fixing up the inside of my apartment.

I can do some really nice stuff to create the terracing on the side of the garden that I can plant on.

And I won't have to amend so much soil.

As my sponsor says, "It's all good."

Is that the same neighbor that you said you felt nervous about pulling up the dandelion?
I'll bet that if you tell them that you lost part of your gardening area Duh

You know Bill I've been thinking along the same lines. But I am a very blunt spoken person and frequently phase things the wrong way. I think I will do as you suggest but after she has had sometime to get to know me. You wouldn't believe how many friends I have lost because of my big mouth and lack of tact.

Tammy, I read your posts and go wow, she is so much like me. If you tell me you are 5'5" and weigh 190, I am going to know you are my lost twin sister and I am going to go have a talk with my mother!!! LOL

Sorry you lost the sunny side of the weed patch. And don't let that blackberry planting nut get to you either. Make the most of what you have and listen to your sponsor.

5'6" and 3 quarters. I don't have a scale for the other but somewhere around 200lbs. Certainly is close though isn't it.

Awwwwwwww! At least you've still got some gardening left.

Shady can be nice too.

I was once in a basement apartment - when Jeff and I were first together. It was just before we got married.

The lady that lived on the first floor had the yard to garden. I wanted to garden in the small strip in the front.

She begrudged me that.

I was lucky though - we did move on and the place we got had a whole yard and front. We really made a nice garden there.
