Here are the Texhoma fishing lic. laws for Texas/Oklahoma fishing on Lake Texhoma.

In Lake Texoma, a person may fish in the respective Texas and Oklahoma waters with the appropriate license from the respective state, or may fish the entire lake with a Lake Texoma fishing license as explained below.
Lake Texoma License (Type 208): $12 – With this license, which is valid until December 31st following the date of issuance, a person may fish in both the Texas and Oklahoma waters of Lake Texoma without any additional Texas or Oklahoma fishing licenses. Holders of this license are exempt from freshwater fishing stamp endorsement requirements for the purpose of fishing on Lake Texoma.

jimmy these folk just don't understand how important fishing is. I have actually talked to my wife, and whether I come alone or bring her along (I think she is coming along) she has actually decided that this is a good idea. now we just have to fine someone to feed all the critters and schedule a time to do this. What's the best time to catch some fish? Are we bankfishing, or do you have a boat? Duh

Peppereater unless you ahve a boat or we rent one we are going to bank fish. I will also have to get a critter sitter don't know if I can get Melissa again or not. Bring your wife along if mine were alive she would come she didn't fish much but she did keep the coffee on and a running debate about catch a release etc.(I think she watched too much Bill Dance). Be nice meeting you and your wife.
Find out about that honey hole I heard there was one around some island or something.

They normally bite in the spring around here but I will check. come on Vanessa the more the merrier. We have a memeber in Haskell also maybe she and her hubby(if she has one) would also join us. Seems like I saw someone on here from OKC also. Just make it one great big GH fishing trip. Vanessa I am sure Rufus would love to fish too so bring him along with Peanut. Tehn maybe one day we can all meet in Lonoake and go fishing around there. Duckie doesn't live far up in Mo. she needs to come also.

chili he has put in his mouth but has a good flavor. Peppereater maybe by then I will have enough to bring you a handfull. Just Googled it said lake is 88% capacity so looks good so for. Only cats they have are Blue,Flathead and channel no yellow Cat.

I thought a yellow was a "mudcat." Pretty much inedible...it's a good thing there aren't any, right? or are they good to eat?

We built a small lake for a rancher in Winchester Tx back in the 70's for right of way throuh his ranch for oil rigs. He stocked it with 35 pound yellow heads I always though tthey were good to eat or why would he stock with them? I don't eat fish due to allergies but I sure like catching them. That is why Billie like to go with me I caught the fish she ate them. laugh laugh

Before my sil died in 2001 we spent every Friday and Saturday night sitting over the old dam at lake Lewisville caught some good ones a lot of blues. They claim there are some cats in there that go over 200 pounds of course you can't find anyone that has caught one or even seen one. But yes Vanessa it is a lot of fun. Usually had at least one of his kids and some of the other grandkids with us. Taught about all of them to fish.Mike my grandson is my fishing buddy now when he can find the time.

I can do that Triss. I was taught to fish by my grandaddy, daddy and uncles all my family fished. Taught my kids and step kids to fish . Taught my grandkids to fish now I am teaching my great grandkids so your would fit right in. Drowning worms is easy and fun also when kids were too little to fish we would still put a little pole in their hand and make a game ou to fit to keep them entertained,

wavey HI Jimmy we have stomped on a lot of the same ground i use to live in the Fort Worth area.I have fished Lake Texhoma quite a bit back in my younger days and yes there is some Big Old Catfish in that lake but we only caught the big ones on a trot line or jug fishing. But you will need a boat for that.I use to do a lot of fishing at Lake Texhoma and Possum Kingdom Lake to as well as Lake Worth and Arlington Lake.there all close to you.guess you knew that though.anyway's i read where you talking about a 200 lb. Catfish? here is one supposed to have been caught at Texhoma it weighed in at 385 lb 7 oz as reported By the person that caught It was caught in the main channel but theres a dispute on what state the fish was caught in.Ala claims it also it was supposed of been caught here in leasburg lake about 7 miles from my house a friend of my cousin claims he caught it jug fishing and now it is mounted in the guys den down at the cabin at the lake but my cousin did show me the photo printed on kodak paper from walmart.but i have never met the guy or been to the guys home there.eather way its one Big Catfish.

With me being in a wheel chair i do not get to go as much as i use to but i have a nice big scooter i can use to go fishing from the bank and i wet a hook when i can.I sure wish i could make the trip out to see you and fish Texhoma again i could show you some nice fishing holes there.the big ones are in the main channel but we would need a boat.
just thought you might like to see a better than 200 lb catfish Since you have never seen one or heard of anyone who caught one.some say they kept the fish alive and it is now in a large aquarium. But I am not sure where though.i cant find record of the fish in any state.

Mike, that's amazing.
I've been studying the map...do you know anything about the area of Texoma around Lebanon? That would be an easy rendezvous spot for Jimmy and me.

grapvine,Lake fork are all real low and with them dipping water out for the fires there is not much water left in t hem now. The other day I think they said PK was 25 foot low. Come on down Mike we will make sure you ahve a good time. Pepperearter OPottsboro may be a good place to meet although I have not been there in 10 years. Will scout and try to find a good place.

Wow...that's a keeper... thumbup

Grabbling is a big sport around here...where you stick your arm under the big rocks and the cats bite on to your arm and you pull them out...NO WAY would I do that...it would scare me to death! But you see these guys walking around with scrarred up arms all of the time....too crazy for me...I'll stick to the ol fashioned hook & line method!!!

Jimmy...we'd have a straight shot down on hwy.177
out of Tecumseh, We're closer to that than I-35. That's why I was thinking Lebanon, it's east of Marietta. What days are you off work? My wife works every other Sat., off every Weds and Sun.

I just don't know what's best...would we be better off near the inlet of the Red, on most any creek inlet, or just shoot for a place with a fishing dock? The reason I mention Lebanon is that we could shoot straight down south on a two lane from where 177 goes east, and you'd save 20 or 30 minutes over going on to Kingston, but like I said, I don't know a thing about the lake.

My wifes sister and her husband used to live in Pottsboro had a dock came right up to back of their yard reason I mentioned there. But that is only place I ever fished on the lake. We can meet in Lebanon I have equal access to 69 as well as 35 so no big deal for me ehter way. Have to go for now but will be checking things out and let you know what I can find out.
