I want to put up bamboo shades to cover some soundproofing and then hang a picture on the bamboo. I am stuck as to how to pull that off. Anyone have any ingenous ideas for me?

If you are artistic I suggest painting directly onto the bamboo.

What about putting a small hook in the ceiling directly above the bamboo, centered of course. Then you could run a line(ribbon, heavy thread, etc) down to where the picture needs to hang. Attach the picture frame to the line and...Viola! Picture hung with no damage to the soundproofing thumbup You could hang a variety of pictures at different levels this way.

Thanks G-mom,

I think you have the right idea. A hook from the ceiling would do it. Something the same color as the bamboo for string and volia it's hung. How did you get so smart? Was it the zinfasomething?

One more suggestion. Still use the hook in the ceiling plan. However, try hanging the stuff with fishing line. It comes in specific weights and is next to invisible. I've used this technique with a traveling performing arts group that I worked with for years. The line is relatively cheap.

That is a very good idea. Thank you for suggesting it.
