Great site and verrry informative. I know I will be here almost daily.

OK, this is my first post and hope that it is in the right forum ? If not, chunk it where it belongs.

I had someone break into our storage building and get a generator, a large wheeled weed trimmer and my favorite shovel. They left sooo much more. Oh well. There is not a place locally that I can get one like this and thought you all may have some ideas or sites and maybe even what type it is called. It is not you normal large head (8.5" X 11") but was about 6" or 7" wide and about 9" tall. I had a long handle on it but that doesn't really matter for now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for being long winded.

Thanks,

Frank

I can't remember what that shovel is called, but we have one in our shed, too. That is my favorite shovel to use when I am digging. I just call it a ditch digger!

Welcome to the forum, Frank! I hope you have as much fun as I do here. Someone will surely be along shortly with the correct name for the shovel for you.

Does the name floral mean anything as far as size ? I have seen that name a few times associated to shovels but can't really pin it down.

Thanks for the welcome.

140.00 dollars for a shovel. That's got to be a typo right? I just about had a heart attack. Wow. I had no idea.

holy carp, I didn't know a shovel could cost that much either tk.

I didn't like to spend the $25 on mine! But of course, I did.. and on the fork too. Not at the same time of course. Actually, not even in the same year. My next digging type purchase will be a bit more pricey tho. I want a TILLER!!

Sorry about your storage building getting broken into. That just sucks.

I bought my sharpshooter at Lowe's for about $18. And I griped about paying that much!!

So sorry to hear that you have a thief in your area. At least they didn't steal any plants!!!

I just call mine a ditch digger also Dianna... thumbup I couldn't tell you what I paid for it because I have had it forever. One of those things that have always been around...you can't remember NOT having it? Maybe it just grew in the shed?

Welcome, Frank. When I saw your last name, I wondered if you any relation to Tina Carruth. She's from New Hampshire, I believe.

She has a column on Suite 101.

I'm not really sure of the spelling of that name though.

I see you are from Tennessee - I am from Toronto, Canada.

Who says we don't travel?
