Hi there! I am new to The Gardener's Forum and all the connections to my gardening heaven - I can't wait to go on reading and learning.

We are new to California from Wisconsin and I am so enjoying flowers all year long but getting use to being able to plant at anytime is hard.

Cannas are my favorite - never could grow back home but something is eating them here - any ideas? Can't seem to find the right stuff to save them. Help!

Hi PCS,

I planted cannas for the very first time this year. I haven't had any pests on them yet. Knock on wood [using my head for the knocker] so I can't offer any help at this time but good luck with your problem. Welcome to the forum it's pretty fun and educational here.

Hi PCS, I'm not sure about your Cannas....I've never grown them--but I just wanted to pop in and welcome you to the forum!

It would be kind of strange adjusting to being able to plant all season long.....be kind of cool though.....lol
