I can't say goodbye to you
It would only hurt me more
To know this life I'll not see you again
Is something that hurts to the core
I will meet you on the other side
Where pain will not be a part of life
And we will have a grand reunion
Less all the world's troubles and strife.

You will be able to show me around Heaven
Skipping together from cloud to cloud
We will walk together in the garden
And sing the songs we love out loud.
So don't expect me to say goodbye to you
My dear and precious friend
My heart could not bear the thought of your loss
So it will be "until we meet again".

-------------------------------------------------

My cousin left this life on Tuesday, May 31. Glenda had cancer. She was only 42.

We grew up together, cried together, and laughed together all of our lives. I don't know how I will be able to bear the pain of not being able to pick up the phone and call her or stop by to see her when I visit my children in NC.

Please say some prayers for her children that she left behind. Her daughter is 21 and her son is 24. They are really having a hard time dealing with this.

Dianna...you & your family are in my thoughts & prayers. This has been a tragic time...a Pastor's wife collapsed in the back yard Sunday while playing with her children ages 9, 10 & 12...the cause of death is still unknown...they are devistated and then I received word that my cousin's son age 13 was on his 4 wheeler (in their driveway) and hit a pole and was killed instantly. The poem you posted really touched my heart. Thanks for posting it. luv

Thank you, g-mom and Vanessa.

I am still having a very hard time dealing with this myself. She and I were really close. Though, I am her children's cousin, they call me aunt. We really were like sisters.

As for the poem, I wrote it this morning. That is one way that I deal with the losses in my life. My heart just overflows to paper when I am hurting.

Dianna,

I am so sorry about your cousin...

That is so sad. It must be incredibly difficult for you and her children.

Robin Williams was in a movie I saw once a long time ago, "Dead Poet's Society", and I wish I could remember the exact quote, but he said something like:

No one is really gone as long as there is someone left to remember, and when there is no one left to remember, then we will all be together again.

I am praying that you will find comfort and peace.

luv

For You Dianna... In Memory of Your Cousin...
My Memory
Time will come
And time will go past
But memories of the heart
Will always last
Tears from Heaven
Will always fall
To remind us of the Angels missing us all
I haven't gone so far away
I'm watching over you every day
Don't cry when my memory crosses your mind
Just stop and remember all the good times gone by
And if you miss me now and again
Just smile and say "I remember when..."
My memory is with you and will always be
There to remind you of what you mean to me.

Thank you, Tricia. I am so choked up right now, I can't think of anything else to say. Jim is having to cope with me crying tonight, because it seems I can't do anything else. Bless you!

Dianna so sorry to hear about your beautiful cousin. My heart and prayers go out to you and her children and all the family. Please accept my deepest condolences. God took her as he needed another angell in heaven. She is helping my Billie to watch over all of us.

Thank you, Jimmy. I think Billie and Glenda will get along fabulously since they both were such caring individuals. I think they will have their hands full trying to look after those they left behind, too.

I miss Glenda. I didn't get to see her often since I moved, but it hurts knowing that she is not there for me to visit anymore. I just have to hold her in my heart and keep her memory alive.

I have checked on her daughter several times since Glenda's death. She seems to be coping as well as she can. That young'un is full of strength that she never knew she had until she had to face the death of her mother.

Oh, I am so glad you've been able to check up on her daughter, Dianna. That will make such a big difference to her as time goes by.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

Thank you, Merme!

With me losing my mother in 99 and not being able to cope with it still, I am trying to keep tabs on her just in case she needs to talk. I might not can be there with her, but I want her to know that she has someone to turn to.

Dianna
