Hope all you fellow-Canucks have a good holiday today. And that the heat breaks in places like here in Toronto.

It seems there's too much rain in some parts of Canada, not enough in others.

Well, I'm going to the beach with my daughter and granddaughter - we're going to swim, eat and wander around enjoying the festivities.

Maybe we'll add to the standing stones down there . . .

Happy Canada day to you. I work with a lady from Canada and today she had on a red, white, and blue shirt that said "I'm a Canadian". It was cute.

There were a lot of shirts, hats, flags down there today. And sunburns - ha ha!

I got a lot of sun - drank gallons of water when I got home.

I agree with Carly that there were alot of sunburns, I took daughter and her friend to a local baseball game, then sis-in-law took them to a fireworks display. They had fun. We have not had rain here in almost 3 weeks. It's not fun watering an acre and a half. My grass is starting to burn.

Sharks, what sharks? The only thing you'd ever see around here in Eastern Canada are whales. I guess that is what makes New Brunswick's waters famous.

The biggest thing in Lake Ontario would be a carp, I guess.

The closest thing to a shark in Ontario would be the muskie (muscalong - not sure of how you spell it).

They're very much like sharks - they will attack, but you don't here of it often.

Then there's the sunfish - you gotta' watch out for them . . . if you're a worm, that is.
